What is Roonly?
Roonly records sales conversations, scores them against your playbook with AI, and turns the results into coaching, lessons and practice for reps and managers.
Roonly is a coaching platform for teams that sell in person or on the phone. Reps record real conversations, Roonly transcribes and scores each one, and managers review the results from a web dashboard. The same data feeds lessons and AI practice so a rep can work on the exact objection they lost last week.
For reps
You use the Roonly mobile app on your phone, and optionally on an Apple Watch. The Home tab has one big Record button. Tap it before you knock or start a visit, tap again when the conversation ends, and the recording uploads on its own. Within a few minutes the conversation shows a score, a short summary, what went well, what to fix, and the objections the prospect raised.
The app has five tabs: Home, History, Train, Goals and Ranks. History holds every scored conversation. Train holds your coaching plan, lessons, AI practice scenarios and replays of your team's best sales. Goals shows targets your manager sets. Ranks shows the leaderboard, contests and bracket challenges.
For managers
Managers and admins sign in to the web dashboard. The sidebar is grouped into Overview, Coaching (Insights and Conversations), Performance (Team, Goals and Contests) and Admin (Manage Team, Training, Integrations and Company). From there you review any recorded conversation, listen to the audio, read the transcript, leave a comment for the rep, and see which objections the whole team struggles with.
The Company page is where you upload your playbook. Roonly scores every conversation against it, so the feedback reflects how your company sells rather than a generic script.
For office teams
Roonly Office is a separate product lens for inside teams that take and make calls. When it is enabled for your company, the dashboard gains an Office toggle in the top right that switches the sidebar to Phone, AI Receptionist, Callbacks, Campaigns and CRM Log. Phone calls are scored with their own rubrics, and the field and office views never mix. See the Office articles linked below for details.
How a recording moves through Roonly
- You record on the phone or Watch. Audio is saved locally first.
- The app uploads the file in the background and retries if you have no signal.
- Roonly transcribes the audio with speaker labels, so it can tell your lines from the prospect's.
- AI scores the transcript against your team's rubric and playbook, writes feedback, and extracts objections.
- The conversation appears in your History with a score, and in your manager's Conversations library.
- If the score is low, Roonly may add a practice suggestion to your coaching plan.
What Roonly asks of you
Before the first recording, the app shows a screen called Your Data and AI Services that explains which third-party services process your audio and transcripts. You must accept it to continue. After that the app requests microphone and notification access, and it asks for location the first time you save a recording so the conversation can be pinned to an address.
You are responsible for following recording laws where you work. Read the consent article before recording in an all-party state.
